An original design by Michael O'Connor , illustrating the warriors of Connacht confronting those of Ulster ,on behalf of Queen Maev , for possession of the Great Bull of Cualnaigh .The story is told in the epic 6th Century Irish poem : an Tain bo Cualnaigh .
